2019 has been another great year for City Precinct.
A big thank you to our City Precinct Committee, a team of volunteers who have helped deliver three major projects in the last 6 months. I hope that all our participating members have benefited from being involved in the Festival of St/Eve, Visitors Info Hub Activation and our themed “Melbourne’s Own” Guides to our members businesses. A lot has to happen behind the scenes to deliver these projects and I am very grateful for the help given by our committee and particularly our executive committee consisting of outgoing Vice President Sally Mackinnon, Treasurer Neil Balthasar and our ever hardworking Admin Officer Hayley Haynes.
Our 2019 AGM saw some changes in our committee. Sally Mackinnon has stood down from her Vice President role and I would like to personally thank Sally for her dedication to City Precinct - since 2011! - as both committee member of many years, and as Vice President. Sally has been a pleasure to work with and I particularly appreciate her “let’s get it done” ethos and passion in everything she does.
Another long term member, Mark Boldiston, has also stood down as committee member. Mark was instrumental in helping get City Precinct off the ground back in 2011 and is in fact, Member No. 2! Thankyou Mark, for your continued interest and support of all that we do.I would also like to thank all our committee members from 2019 for your hard work and support. I am delighted to say that we also have some fresh faces on the committee and am very pleased that we will have an injection of new ideas and energy moving into 2020.
A particular warm welcome to Dan Pinne in his new role as Vice President. Dan has been involved with City Precinct for many years now and will be a great addition to the Executive committee.
Our committee going into 2020, is:
President: Melanie Ashe
Vice President: Dan Pinne
Treasurer: Neil Balthasar
Secretary: Hayley Haynes
Taylor Beaumont-Whitely (Discovera)
Stephen McLaughlan (Stephen McLaughlan Gallery)
Narelle Welsh (The Windsor)
Nic Poltronieri (Hearns Hobbies)
Maria Yebra (Laneway Learning)
Matt Naturani (No Vacancy)
Nid Kelly (Elk)
