Coronavirus Update and Useful Information
March 16th, 2020 — News
In light of the current environment and in consultation with our committee, we have decided to postpone our Networking Breakfast tomorrow morning. As we are in a fairly fluid situation with new announcements and evolving restrictions, we will let you know when we will be resuming our networking programs.
At this stage, I think it is very important for us to keep ourselves informed to make the best possible decisions for our businesses over the coming weeks and months. Here are some very useful links to updated information from Federal & State government departments and health alerts. We will continue to search for the best possible website links to aid us over the coming weeks.
Australian Government – Department of Health
Australian Government – Information for Employers
Victorian Government – Department of Health & Human Services

City of Melbourne Corona Virus updates
There is no doubt that these will be trying times for our small businesses. I would like to take this opportunity to remind us all that we are a community and not in it on our own. It is always helpful to check in with our fellow members to share information and support each other. We already have a Facebook group for City Precinct and are looking at other channels to communicate amongst ourselves. In the meantime all our members are listed on the website. I know that some of you are already reaching out to each other and have shared information and ideas.
We also want to let you know that we have been making enquiries and communicating with City of Melbourne to see if there is any additional support or useful information that would benefit our members. We will keep you informed should anything become tangible.
In the meantime let’s help each other and keep ideas flowing between us. We will continue to stay in contact with any new developments or useful information. As we are a volunteer committee also dealing with the consequences in our own businesses, we would very much appreciate your help in bringing to our attention any great ideas or important information for navigating through this new normal.
Let’s look after each other and keep communicating.
