The Royal Arcade Inventi Performance is provided by the City Precinct Microadventures program, which is supported through the Melbourne City Revitalisation Fund – a $200 million partnership of the Victorian Government and the City of Melbourne.

Inventi have established themselves in Melbourne and are a leading force in Australian chamber music. Award winning performances in Australia’s leading concert halls and at festivals around the country have led to an enthusiastic following of their innovative programming and outstanding performance style. They are one of the most prolific chamber ensembles in Australia, with over 80 diverse concerts in their 2022 season. Inventi is an exciting voice in Australian music.

Winners of the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Contemporary Masters Award, their shows are an interactive experience, seamlessly combining music, visuals, narration and other effects to produce a fully immersive, interactive and dynamic experience which engage with audiences of all ages and abilities.

Inventi are renowned for their impressive arrangements of large-scale orchestral works for chamber ensemble and their dedication to regularly commissioning and performing new works by living Australian composers. Their discography is growing, with two new albums released in Nov 2020: ‘Women of the Earth’ and ‘Peer Gynt’ which debuted in the Top 20 of the ARIA Charts.

Inventi’s deep commitment to community outreach is a core part of their artistic practice. They regularly take their high-quality performances into aged care centres with their ‘Music Space’ project. Through the recent lockdowns from COVID-19, Inventi proudly continued to offer paid work to Victorian musicians and pivoted to online performances for communities across Melbourne, including children’s interactive online workshops, online aged care concerts and in addition, by commissioning, premiering and recording 7 new works from Melbourne composers.
